Words from the Executive Director
Dear NPSA Family,
It is truly amazing to think that Nebraska Polio Survivors Association (NPSA) has existed for over 40 years as a nonprofit organization. Founded in 1984 by Nancy Baldwin Carter, NPSA was created to fulfill its mission, that is, to provide support for Polio survivors and their families; to deal with the late effects of Polio and to encourage those in the health care community to participate actively in Post-Polio care and research.
As we move forward as an organization, our task is simply to continue doing this work. Over the years, so many of you have taken part in NPSA events and shared your stories with us during those times. Some of you have even served as volunteers while others have served as donors or sponsors. Please continue!
As you contemplate just how to support, take a moment to peruse through the website. Enjoy the history and the legacy that many of you help create.
Last but certainly not least, we meet on the first Sunday of most months (see meeting schedule) so you can join us as we gather to support each other and do this important work. NPSA deeply appreciates the many sacrifices you have made to keep our organization positioned to be successful in the future. Thank you for your support and belief in the mission. Now, let us see what we can do! To infinity and beyond!
Sincerely,
Stephen Jackson
